Infant baptism is a ceremony where Christian parents commit to prayerfully, actively and intentionally raise their child in the ways of the Church, desiring that their child will put his or her faith and trust in Christ as their Lord and Savior. It is also an opportunity for this community of faith to recognize and support this family and their precious child, so that he or she may be established in the faith and confirmed and strengthened in the way that leads to life eternal.
