First United Methodist Church Elgin, strives to be an open and welcoming congregation, while developing relationships with the broader community in order to show the love of Jesus Christ to others. The United Methodist Church is known for having “open hearts, open minds, and open doors”. We recognize that part of that “open-ness” is not waiting for others to find us, but for us to be intentional in reaching out to help meet the needs of a hurting world.
While First United Methodist Church Elgin endeavors to find new life in Christ daily, we are also thankful for our rich 130+ year history in Elgin, Texas. We offer traditional and contemporary worship services, as well as a communion service (open to all) every Sunday. Our mid-week worship service on Wednesday evenings is also a communion service open to all. We are one part of the Body of Christ, and desire to reach upward and outward in ministry and growth. You are welcome to rest with us, or serve with us, depending on your present situation or need.
