If you missed the last Bubba Crocker Bake Off, the idea is to have men (of any age, including youth) prepare TWO of the SAME dessert. The first dessert will be judged by a panel of impartial judges (that is, people who aren’t related to any of the contestants). That dessert will be used as part of the dessert for the meal. The second dessert will be set aside for a silent auction. That way, those who bid on the second desserts will have had a chance to sample what they are bidding on. The Bubba Crocker contestants can make any kind of dessert they wish – cookies, cakes, pies, cobblers, etc., so long as it is two of the SAME thing and DOES NOT REQUIRE REFRIGERATION! (We don’t have enough space). “Bubbas” need to bring their TWO desserts to the Fellowship Hall on Sunday morning, by 10:00 AM in order to be included in the contest. Judging results will be announced during lunch after the 11:00 service. Remember, only men—young or old—are allowed to compete. We encourage father/son teams or grandfather/son teams. First, second and third place prizes will be awarded – along with the honor of being crowned “King Bubba.”
